Summer - Through the eyes of a professional
Although these photos are now several weeks old, I realized that we only shared them via Facebook which I know everyone isn't on.
All ready for school!
With only a week before Brandon starts at his Big Boy school, Cammie has been running around buying his uniform and supplies. The general feeling from Brandon is one of reserved excitement although he is a little sad to be leaving his best friends from daycare. Here are some pics of the big boy in his new uniform..
Home Invasion
Our home was invaded yesterday by superheroes (some with identity issues) and transformers. Strangely though I don't feel safer!

Happy 1 month Birthday Summer
Little Summer had her 1 month birthday yesterday, not that she had any idea! She is getting so big and is just so cute. She is a little tree frog, who's favourite thing to do is fall asleep on the chest of her Mum and sometime even her Dad! She is able to sleep so contently while she is there no matter what madness or noise is going on around her with her crazy big brothers. Her 1 month birthday will be remembered as her most difficult night to date. After trying in vain for more than an hour and a half to get her to sleep, a tired and frustrated Cammie passed her over to me and I took her for a 30 minute walk at 10 pm to try and get her to fall sleep. She slept the whole walk only to start crying again literally as we crossed the threshold back into the house. She is however growing extremely fast and eating very well. In fact Cammie just returned from the doctors office after weighing her and Summer at 1 month old is a very healthy 10lbs 13oz or for the Aussies (4.9 kgs). Her birth weight you may recall was 7lbs 9oz (3.43 kgs).
Happy Birthday Brandon
It's hard to believe that our first little boy is now 5 years old, and that he will be starting school next month. Time does truly go very very fast! And what an amazing little boy he is at 5: funny, funny, funny, smart, sensitive, and for the most part well mannered and polite especially when in the company of those other than his parents! A lover of all things boy.......loves cars, Lego, wrestling, racing, crashing things, smashing things.....obsessed with superheroes of all shapes and sizes, but right now the Avengers and Transformers are particular favourites as you can see from his party theme but also from his room, which is absolutely littered with superheroes and transformer toys. At times I thinks he's convinced that he is really a transformer himself......always transforming himself around the house complete with sounds effects before he leaps into a battle pose ready to fight the baddies! The easiest way to Brandon's heart is through his stomach.......he can be easily bribed through snacks and treats. "Can i please have a snack" is probably the most commonly uttered phrase from his mouth. It really is amazing how much he has changed, achieved and developed and how independent he has become in so many areas of his life. His independence is often very much only skin deep, because under the surface he is still so emotionally reliant in every possible way on his family and parents. Much to our delight he is also a big boy who still loves to have lots of cuddles with his Mum and Dad, he's such an affectionate kid. We just love him so much.
Brandon confirming with Transformer sign language that he is enjoying his party.

The three stooges. Brandon with his best friends from school Liam and Garrett. These 3 guys are inseperable at school.
